Next generation of balancing machines for jet engine applications
Schenck RoTec offers new balancing machine for jet engine applications the new V3L vertical balancing machine from Schenck RoTec is designed to increase efficiency while adhering to strict SAE standards for jet engine production and overhaul. With its compact mineral cast housing and ergonomically sophisticated operating concept, it represents the next generation of balancing machines for the aviation industry.
The V3L conforms to SAE ARP 4050 for Class 100 balancing machines, and is designed for the balancing of individual rotor stages in one or two planes. With a weight capacity of up to 80 Kg and a fully-variable speed drive, the machine is ideally suited for a wide range of rotor balancing applications. Its Class C600 protective shroud, in accordance with ISO 7475, enhances operator safety.
Combined with Schenck’s flagship instrumentation, the CAB 925, the V3L provides the highest level of measurement accuracy with a software suite tailored for the jet engine industry. It is also available with software to conduct balancing machine performance tests in accordance with SAE ARP 4050.
With the V3L, Schenck RoTec offers manufacturers and overhaul facilities a complete solution that can be adapted to specific rotor applications and balancing requirements. It fully complements Schenck’s jet engine product portfolio that features inspection and assembly fixtures, support equipment, and balancing tooling.
