Dealing with the downturn

The aviation industry faces significant challenges today and experts expect tough times throughout the next 2 years: Although large OEMs’ order books are still strong, they have been rapidly declining since 2009 and the sharp drop in new aircraft orders will affect both, the OEMs and their suppliers in 2010/11. In the meantime, increasing difficulties regarding access to capital, delayed cash flows due to program delays and growing cost pressure are the more immediate problems that must be addressed.

ISC to push equipment manufacturing business

For many equipment manufacturers and suppliers to the international aerospace industry, three days in June 2010 are already slated in red in their diaries. For the International Suppliers Center (ISC) fair will be taking place in Berlin-Schönefeld from June 8 to 10, 2010 as part of the Berlin Air Show ILA. The ISC, which is held every two years and is now being staged for the third time, is in particular intending to score points with the International Buyers’ Day on June 9.

27 meter – autoclave arrives at PAG´s Nordenham plant

Premium Aerotec in Nordenham took delivery of the 27 meter long autoclave, eight meters high in diameter, for production of the forward fuselage sections for the new Airbus A350 XWB.
